Better map mechanism - Idea

I would like to see someting like this (I made this pic).:

And the maps should be much more linear. Sometimes you have to run up to 800 metres backwards on a route where you’ve already killed the monsters. It can be quite boring.

Looks interesting but I you don’t mind can you give more details :

  • are the Stages different dungeon area separation, as we have the boss room right now ?
  • can you explain your idea about having routes rarities, you could for exemple have 3 path to get to the different both room ( easy , medium and hard ) ?
  • better quality gate? do you refer to dungeon doors ?

  • it would be totally random, like item drops.(higher rarity → less chance)
    Your party leader have to plan carefully, because the stage (route) stats are stacking.
    if your party leader always takes the hardest way, then the last routes will very hard.

better quality gate? do you refer to dungeon doors ?

-yes, it depends on the dungeon doors. so the Gold gates have more stages than the silver gates.
