Patch Notes - BT Version 0.21 (Ruby Hotfix / QoL Update)

Special note: ALL prior player save data will be reset for this patch (again)

BUG FiXES:

  • Fixed some issues with the visual mesh of tier 3 and 4 shoulders
  • Fixed Minor fireball having the wrong damage type applied
  • Fixed issues with deactivation logic of fire trap tile in ice dungeons
  • Fixed decrypt button being enabled in some situations it should not have been on the decryptor bot
  • Fixed issues with inaccurate minimap in various procgen tiles
  • Fixed some pillars in the Syphon that players were able to walk through
  • Fixed various cases of invisible collision in landscape dungeons preventing players from progressing
  • Fixed many areas where players were able to get out of the world
  • Fixed a somewhat rare client crash related to party join order
  • Fixed some issues with the visual appearance of some high level head gear
  • Fixed an issue preventing escape from working properly after save data was reset
  • Fixed a bug causing chat boxes to take input and prevent movement in the game
  • Fixed an issue that could cause Soul Drain visual effects not to show up for some players
  • Fixed boss door in The Syphon not displaying objective text like other dungeons
  • Fixed instant revive reticle picking up your own healing drones
  • Fixed Arcane Storm not respecting SFX volume level settings
  • Fixed telegraph particle that shows up on the ground before the ancient monitor casts its prison ability not reflecting the actual radius accurately
  • Fixed issues with Ping points not being cleaned up correctly
  • Fixed issues with belts overlapping leg visuals
  • Fixed issues with various cadet leg gear clipping with the player’s torso
  • Fixed class trainers giving out different gear than what was awarded on first character creation
  • Fixed decryptor prices being incorrect in various circumstances
  • Fixed issues with Corrupted Portals spawning in bad locations
  • Fixed a bug allowing previous equipped NFTs to show up in non equipped NFT inventory as well
  • Fixed Artifact Fragments being lost if the player’s inventory is full when the fragment drops. It will now drop to the ground allowing the player to make space if they choose
  • Fixed timer widget tick sounds playing even after the timer was canceled
  • Fixed an issue that could cause server instances to hang after players all logged out
  • Fixed issues with AI in the overworld appearing to be in locations they were not preventing players from being able to hit them or see them accurately
  • Fixed invalid “no higher than 420 str” requirement on great swords
  • Fixed issues causing chests to float above the ground
  • Fix Ninja Log blocking player movement in cases it was not intended to
  • Fixed AI not correctly changing targets if they can not reach their preferred target
  • Fixed players being able to walk through large decorative spheres in ice dungeons
  • Fixed various issues with blocked paths and players getting stuck in the ice castle
  • Fixed players being able to drop bound items by placing them in bags and dropping the bag
  • Fixed trash icon hit box being bigger than the visual area of the icon
  • Fixed an issue allowing the Artifact Fragment UI to overlap with Decryptor UI
  • Fix Ancient Monitors not dropping NFTs (Shoutout: Turbocharlie)
  • Fix Fixer Shields not dropping correctly (Shoutout: DurzoBlintz & Kingperrin)

PERFORMANCE OPTIMIZATION:

  • Disabled various objects that were ticking on dedicated servers needlessly
  • Dungeon initialization times have been improved (reduced player load times waiting for portal connections)

BALANCE:

  • Many changes to gear requirements have been made which will now require a bit more progression before players are able to wear higher tier gear
  • Game balance in solo dungeons has been tweaked to be a bit easier
  • Sea Shore portal level ranges have been reduced
  • Artifact Trader drop tables have been spruced up a bit to make them more interesting
  • Soul Drain objectives will now scale a bit more generously for lower level dungeons
  • The Scientific Method (Formerly: Mighty Trial) quest objective will now only occur in first position so players don’t run out of enemies before it activates
  • The amount of points required to complete The Scientific Method (Formerly: Mighty Trial) now scales with # of players and dungeon level
  • Jump attacks no longer scale off of intelligence (they are now considered physical)
  • Jump attack area of effect has been reduced
  • Enemies now have a chance to evade attacks based on evasion/accuracy stats similar to players
  • Damage dealt by Turret Artillery has been reduced
  • Cooldown time for Invisibility has been increased
  • Various offensive abilities will now cancel Invisibility
  • Mobs significantly higher level than the player will no longer be affected by the following abilities: Shoutout: Blazo
    • Time Bubble
    • Frost Nova
    • Sap
    • Hamstring
    • Cold Ailments
    • Frost Ball
    • Shield Wall
    • Grasping Roots
    • Oil Trap
  • Various advanced quest objectives will no longer appear in lower level dungeons
  • Chests will now award more than 1 gold
  • Various Syphon boss room exploits have been corrected
  • Ore vendor sell amounts have been adjusted to scale up with rarity
  • Artifact Fragments now drop from more things in-game
  • Gates have had their energy costs increased as well as their cooldown
  • Energizer gate buff duration has been decreased
  • Shield blocking now longer prevents falling damage
  • Higher level portals will now have a narrow level range
  • Clockie spin attack has been adjusted to give players a bit more warning before dealing damage
  • Whirlwind will now increase aggro

GAMEPLAY:

  • Various Dual Wield attacks have been updated and improved such that both weapons will correctly deal damage during the attack
  • Generally, Dual Weapons should connect more reliably with targets
  • Dual Wield attacks will now allow players to dodge and attack a bit sooner coming out of the previous attack
  • Soul Drain will now direct players to investigate the area before asking for foes to be brought into the area
  • Hit frames for 2H axe attacks have been updated to more accurately reflect the visuals
  • Bleed visual effects will now appear from random locations on enemies instead of in one fixed location
  • All players will now be revived and respawned upon quest completion so fallen comrades may share in the loot
  • Most boss fights will now require players clear aggro’d enemies before allowing them to proceed into the boss arena
  • Initial Spawn points are now out of the gatherpoint radius to ensure all players are active before the mission may proceed
  • A rare surprise has been added to canisters throughout the game
  • Summon turret cast range now increases with skill level
  • Loot chests are now colorized based on their rarity
  • Reticle display functionality for Into the Frey ability has been improved
  • Caltrops and shaped charge now affect Fauna as well as normal mobs
  • Player projectile aiming logic has been improved to go where you expect a bit more reliably
  • First time players will now be guided through their first dungeon via a quest

AI:

  • New Tank Bug Artillery AI type has been added to the game

ART:

  • VFX for portal surprise have been fixed and improved
  • VFX for drone bug swipe attacks have been improved
  • VFX for flying drone bug swipe attacks have been improved
  • VFX for Coffin mantis swipe attacks have been improved
  • VFX for tank bug attack shave been improved
  • VFX for cyberpirate swipe attacks have been improved
  • VFX for clockie attacks have been improved
  • VFX for various decals in-game have been improved to be more visible on slopes and steep areas
  • VFX have been added for T-Rex bite attacks
  • VFX have been added for Chests that spawn in the world
  • VFX for Chronomage time bubble have been improved
  • VFX have been added to Raptor jump attacks
  • VFX for raptor claw attacks have been improved
  • VFX for artifact shards in the world have been improved
  • VFX for caltrops have been improved
  • VFX for quest waypoints have been improved
  • VFX have been added when enemies enter the Soul Drain area

LEVELS:

  • The Syphon dungeons have had many changes and improvements
    • More objective types are now supported by this dungeon
    • New tile types and puzzles have been added
  • Improved placement of various resources (ie mines) throughout the dungeons
  • Ice Dungeons are now much more likely to generate more interesting configurations

UI:

  • Translations for various languages have been added to the game! Language can be changed via settings, and will automatically select your operating system’s language by default. Supported languages:
    • German
    • English
    • Spanish
    • French
    • Italian
    • Korean
    • Chinese
  • Some redundant text has been removed from various interaction objects in the game
  • Players are now able to ping shrines directly
  • Minimap zoom level is now saved as a preference so it persists between launches of the game
  • Improved readability of Artifact Vendor UI screen
  • New icons for Energizer and Accel gates have been added
  • An option has been added to allow players to disable the minimap if they so choose
  • Percentage based attributes will now be displayed in a bit more useful way in player stats
  • New more accurate icons have been added for Chronomage shoulders
  • Stats screen will now refresh after Timeline changes are made
  • Improved behavior when right clicking inventory items in various scenarios
  • Added an extra confirmation when leaving a dungeon via the Party menu
  • Added the following stats to the stat window that were missing previously:
    • Melee base crit chance
    • Magic base crit chance
  • We now display decimal amounts in the stat window
  • Reworded some stats to be more intuitive for players
  • More player stats are now displayed in the stat window
  • Many pieces of Tier 4 gear have had new icons added for them
  • Mission objective text titles are now displayed on the UI objective tracker
  • Health and Energy bar segmentation readability has been improved for high level players with many segments
  • Defensive and offensive stat icons have been improved
  • UI markers have added to return portals after quest completion to make it easier to find them in larger arenas
  • Text above enemy or players will now disappear when they die
  • Dialog UI elements will no longer appear on top of the inventory if it’s open
  • UI that shows when an NFT is looted now displays the rarity color more prominently
  • Einstein and Merlin radio portraits have been updated
  • Chat messages now display a timestamp in the local time zone
  • A full screen notification will now play when players receive an Artifact Fragment, similar to when an NFT is looted
  • Revive shrines now appear on the minimap and Compass

SOUND:

  • Many Ancient Monitor sound effects have been added and improved
  • Fire trap sounds now attenuate with distance as intended
  • Improved consistency with hammer sheath and unsheath sounds
  • Underling footstep sounds have been improved
  • Overling footstep sounds have been improved
  • Underling death sounds have been added
  • Various sounds have been added to The Syphon dungeons to match the movement of the level geometry

This bug fix are really nice specially, Specially cases about the dungeon also is the liutenant bug on outpost already included on this bug fix?

Will their be a more specific Patchnote about character class nerfs and buff?

To be honest im really amaze on what the team has done to the game Im already hooked.

Thinks that that are keypoints to this patch note are:

  • Fixed issues with inaccurate minimap in various procgen tiles

It says on official twitter - Mythic and Legendary space holder access is live.
However I have exalted/mythic spaces but can not access early access.
Is this issue being dealt with currently?

Sorry can we please get the exact hotfix notes separated from the notes above. Its is really hard to discern what I already read to what was newly added hours ago
